ESG, sustainability and grant advisory.

Two things that usually arrive together. A corporate customer starts asking for environmental and sustainability data, and the cost of answering properly is exactly what a Johor grant is there to help with.

ESG and Sustainability

For most of our clients, ESG is not an ideological question. It arrives as a questionnaire from a multinational customer, a bank, or a buyer who has their own reporting obligation and needs your numbers to complete it.

We treat it the same way we treat any other compliance scheme: work out what has to be proved, find out where you stand, build the system that produces the evidence, and train the people who have to keep it running.

  • Environmental management. Programmes covering emissions, effluent, waste streams and the permits behind them.
  • Sustainability reporting. Getting your data into a form a customer, a bank or a listing requirement will accept.
  • ESG strategy and roadmap. A sequenced plan, so a small company is not trying to do everything in the first year.
  • Waste management. Including scheduled waste collection under SW204.
  • Green initiative programmes. Practical site level projects that reduce consumption and give the report something real to describe.

Grants and funding for Johor entrepreneurs

As an appointed Rakan Strategik Halal of Negeri Johor, we work with Johor businesses on the state assistance available to them. These are the categories we advise on.

  • Entrepreneur training and development
  • Business capacity improvement

Why businesses apply. To reduce business cost, increase productivity, meet market and certification requirements, open wider market access, and compete on something other than price.

How we help

  1. Application guidance

Which programme fits what you are trying to fund, and what the assessors are actually looking for.

  2. Complete the documentation

Getting the submission complete first time, because an incomplete application is the most common reason for delay.

  3. Improve eligibility before submitting

Where a criterion is not yet met, fixing that first rather than submitting and hoping.

  4. Grow together with Johor entrepreneurs

Grant funding is a means, not an end. The work it pays for is where the return comes from.

Common questions

No. Approval is decided by the awarding body against its own criteria and its own budget. What we can do is make sure the application is complete, eligible and well evidenced, which is where most applications fail.

Some programmes cover certification preparation and documentation system development, which is the work we do. Whether a specific cost is claimable depends on that programme's terms, so we check it before you commit to anything.

With the questionnaire you were sent. It tells us exactly what your customer needs proved, which is a far more useful starting point than a generic framework. From there we build the roadmap backwards.

Tell us what you need to comply with, and we will tell you what it takes.

Send the scope and we will come back with a written quotation, a proposed schedule and the HRD Corp claim route where it applies.
