Occupational safety and health training.

Thirteen programmes covering the competencies a Malaysian employer is expected to be able to evidence: risk assessment, first aid, chemical handling, powered equipment, emergency response and a functioning safety and health committee.

HRD Corp claimable Competency cards issued

Training that survives contact with the shop floor.

Our programmes are participative and activity oriented. They are learner centred and built on experiential learning, individual and group activity, short lectures and coaching. Participants practise on the equipment and the scenarios they will actually meet, not on a generic case study.

That matters most where competence is legally required. Workers handling hazardous chemicals must be trained at least once every two years. Forklifts are heavy machinery that need trained and authorised operators. A safety and health committee that has stopped meeting is a finding waiting to be written up.

First aid is delivered by a practising paramedic with United Nations service experience. That is the difference between a certificate and a team that can actually manage a casualty before an ambulance arrives.

Programme notes

Basic occupational first aid (BOFA)

First aid knowledge is the difference between life and death. The programme covers practical first aid including CPR, so participants leave with life saving and life sustaining skills. It also lowers operating cost, because a trained team handles the common injuries on site instead of sending every case out.

  • Principles of occupational first aid
  • Emergency response and scene assessment
  • CPR and basic life support, with AED
  • Bleeding, burns and fracture management
  • Casualty handling and the recovery position
  • Heimlich manoeuvre
  • Basic rescue techniques and rescue equipment

HIRARC

HIRARC was introduced in 2008 and DOSH has since issued a revision. Our workshop covers the updated version, and the three day variant adds consultation so your team leaves with a completed register rather than a method they still have to apply.

Safe chemical handling and spillage control

Hazardous chemicals account for a significant share of critical and acute occupational health cases. The law requires workers to be given safe chemical handling training at least once every two years. The intensive version adds spillage response drills.

Safe forklift handling

Forklifts are heavy machinery that require trained and authorised operators. The two day competency course targets operator behaviour during handling, not just the mechanics of driving.

Emergency response and preparedness

An emergency response team should be established as part of emergency management. The workshop covers ERP fundamentals, evacuation, firefighting, rescue and basic occupational first aid, and the three day version includes consultation on your plan.

Empowering the safety and health committee

Aimed at committees that have gone dormant. The two days are spent reactivating the committee, rebuilding momentum and getting the meeting, inspection and follow up cycle running again.

Public seminars

Published rate, first aid and aquatic rescue. RM650 per participant at the HRD Corp claimable rate, or RM550 per participant paying cash, a RM100 difference. Certificate and competency card provided. Subject to a minimum number of participants. Past public runs have been held in Desaru, Johor.

Dates for the current intake are confirmed on request. Ask us for the next scheduled run, or book the same programme in house at your own site.

Common questions

Yes. DH Movere is a registered training provider with HRD Corp under PSMB 5951, and our programmes are claimable including under SBL-Khas. The claim is made by the employer against their levy. We provide the documentation the claim needs.

Competency programmes include assessment and issue a competency card alongside the certificate. The shorter versions build awareness and safe practice but do not carry the same assessment. Where a role requires an authorised or certified operator, take the competency version.

Yes, and for most of these programmes it is the better option. In house delivery lets us build the exercises around your own equipment, chemicals, layout and incident history. We also offer site coaching, where a consultant works alongside your team during implementation.

Bahasa Malaysia or English. We prepare the materials in the language your participants work in, and mixed groups are common. Tell us the split when you request a quotation.
